clutchcity94
I feel like after the Montrose & Westheimer corridor, this little southeastern pocket in Montrose is going to look the most different in 5-10 years compared to today.

Popular Post hindesky
Work has officially started. I saw them throwing debris out a second story window, they added a second port a potty and Archcon signage on the fence.
hindesky
Roll off dumpster arrived, they were throwing out debris out this window but closed it. They have added a ventilation system with plastic tubes coming out a few windows. I wonder if it has asbestos?
toxtethogrady
Six stories now? Either that does not reflect the garage floors, or it's the Incredible Shrinking Building...

The garage and residential portions were designed separately for this project. Same core design team but separate design/construction documents (and also may have been permitted that way as well).

I certainly hope this building isn’t another Post 510. This section of Richmond needs some power washing and updating.

It was really nicely renovated and had a pool and everything. I remember going to the open house back in 2019, just before it sold for $749,000. I wonder how much the developer paid the homeowner that bought for $749k.

wilcal
Quote Drumm said most of the units will have three or four bedrooms with a single kitchen and laundry area that all of the residents can access. The Shelter Cos. will help to line residents up with roommates to fill out each unit. “It saves them the hassle of having to find a roommate, and each resident signs their own contract, so they are not on the hook for anyone else’s rent,” he said. “We believe there is a market for renters who just got out of college and are used to living with roommates.” The building will also offer a number of “microunits,” essentially smaller-than-average studio apartments with their own, albeit “pint-sized,” kitchen. Those units will be between 320 square feet and 420 square feet and cost between 10% and 20% less than a traditional studio apartment, which is typically around 500 square feet, Drumm said. Every UNITi Montrose resident will have access to common amenities, which will include a courtyard pool with grills, two club rooms, a sky lounge with an outdoor patio and a fitness center. Each floor will also have its own area that offers a different communal space. On one floor, for example, there will be a yoga room. Yet on another floor, The Shelter Cos. plans to install a gaming lounge where residents can get together to compete in e-sports. Interesting! I'd love to see one of the micro units
