I believe this is the view of the north side of the building that will face Market Square. This is based on the other renderings of the Chronicle site building. Thanks for this find. LBC2HTX
Only if it's a W, Ritz-Carlton or SLS/Delano/Mondrain, please. Add a cool day-club and Houston will be rockin.

wxman
Very sexy indeed. Since when do we have black and white renderings tho?

lockmat
The bend and tapered north side is nice but the glass curtain is giving me an office-feel so I'm hoping a colored rendering or different angle will make it feel more residential. Houston?
Downtown is taking strides! I can’t until it gets a lot of foot traffic and becomes a 24 Hour neighborhood.

CREguy13
From what I've been told, both Block 58 and 42 will rise at the same time and 42 is scheduled to open before 58. I would imagine that if brijonmang was given the okay to present the rendering, that a press release on groundbreaking is forthcoming.

That's good news, thanks. I wonder which property adjacent to the park is most likely to go next. Chase bank site?

Nate99
Looks really nice. That’s a lot of people in one spot now with Catalyst and Alexan just down the street. How about that two story Central Market on the lot across Main from the back of Aris?

I agree, some 30-40 story towers to kinda cover up those 80s office towers.
Nole23
Love this! It's going to be fun following 42 and 58 rise at the same time and the impact on the area once complete.
bobruss
They better start tearing down the garage on Block 42 or they won't even be out of the ground before 58 is finished the way they are moving. They're already about 5 feet below grad with their digging. 58 is going to go up fast.

It is "south" of the new highrise apartment tower I believe called Market square Tower. Currently it is occupied by an ugly parking garage. cspwal
How were the block numbers assigned? it seems like there were multiple different ways of numbering the blocks, causing some numbers to go away (e.g. where is block 39 ) Edit: fyi == ninja face Edited August 3, 2018 by cspwal
bobruss
This garage backs up to Hogg Palace, which is on the western half of the block. I believe it was originally a car showroom in the lobby. I would have loved to own that penthouse on top. Probably not so much now.
