Nate99
Does Houston have any Youth Hostels? I stayed in one in NYC on the 120s streets can't remember when I went to a conference at Columbia. I was just thinking HSPVA campus, music and and dance students, the arts, places to crash for cheap. Seems like it would be a cool add on for any city to have. None that I have ever heard of, but we do have many freeway side hotels with their parking lots purposefully obscured from view. The Google tells me of this: http://www.hiusa.org/texas/houston/the-morty-rich-hostel or for the more adventurous http://www.houstonhostel.com/ Who knew? I think one in the museum district, one on Lovett in Montrose, and maybe another.

rsb320
I just noticed the crane base this morning. Maybe the excavators will move over to the Hines site when they wrap up here.

hindesky
I swear, TNT gets almost every downtown crane job. They must be greasing the right people.I talked to the riggers installing the crane, they work for an outfit out of Florida. They travel around the country erecting, jumping the crane and removing them when finished. TNT may be the only ones available at the time with the right tonnage to perform the job.
