Robert Boland will jointly serve as the chairman of the Menninger Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Baylor College of Medicine and as chief of staff at The Menninger Clinic. He will join both organizations effective Jan. 4, 2021, according to a news release. Boland is replacing John Oldham as chief of staff at The Menninger Clinic. Oldham retired from the position on Sept. 4, according to the release. Currently, Boland serves as vice chair of education and director of the psychiatry residency program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. He also works as an associate professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. Boland is board certified in psychiatry and has expertise in medical education, psychosomatic medicine and geriatric psychiatry, per the release. Main St. in southwest Houston. The facility will house a full suite of outpatient services, including the Menninger Clinic's sleep medicine center, brain stimulation center, outpatient assessment service and other clinical services. Most of the clinic's services will be situated on the building's first floor. The outpatient center's second floor will feature more than 15,000 square feet for future expansion, Colombo said. Houston-based Kirksey Architecture served as the architect for the center, and Houston-based Tellepsen Builders is serving as the project's general contractor.
