mcook2002
Has anyone had the steps to their front porch redone in brick? About how much did this run you and who did it if so? Thanks!
Angostura
We got a verbal estimate on this a while back, and I seem to recall it being in the low 4-figures. Just asked a couple of guys who were doing the steps on some houses on W. 23rd.
mcook2002
funny you bring this up...we actually just had this finished. Morse Renovations did a wonderful job. very meticulous work and the steps turned out great. you are correct, low 4 figures for about 2.5 full days of work + materials. dbigtex56
If this is an older Heights house, you might consider checking out the supply of used/vintage brick at Historic Houston Salvage Warehouse on W Clay. New brick might be a bit jarring.

Jayman7
I bought about 700 bricks from a small company on Main St., just east of 45. I think I paid .50 ea. they were old Chicago bricks, very cool. I had steps built on the front of my home and the back, I also had my entire concrete walkway up to my front door overlayed with bricks. I want to say I paid $700 or $800 for the front steps (3 steps) and/walkway, $300 for the back steps. If I can find the guys name and number I will post it. Shop around, the labor costs can vary greatly!
