sevfiv
Has anyone been here or know how long it's been in business? Is it related to or a knock off of the beloved Timmy Chan? It appears to have been a Church's chicken until the early 1990s.. Here is an awful phone picture from a rainy day:

I hear that is typical of those who stereotype the Chinese. Edited February 3, 2010 by RedScare

I may have read somewhere that their culture is more accepting of this sort of thing.

Hanuman
Why would I just make something up about the Chinese? Here's an article I found in a Chinese newspaper. I have translated it for those of you who are haters, and haven't bothered to learn Chinese:" Chinese people today issue statement that all hip-hoppers are gay, and their mother dressed them funny while they still very young. Run street too fast, music no good-too loud, tattoo girl, smoke too much dope. You not come to Beijing".It's true! Why would I lie about the Chinese? Look, back on topic. So Sev's camera took a bad photo of the place, and Zindler said that rats were running on the food. Is that really a good reason to be ugly to the little Chinese restaurant, just trying to make a go of it? I'm going there tonight, and enjoy myself, while the rest of you haters eat pizza, and drink beer ---- because that's all you guys do...it's true! AtticaFlinch
It's true! Why would I lie about the Chinese? Because you're a dirty Mandarin speaker and not a Wu or Cantonese speaker. Everybody knows all people who speak Mandarin would lie about the Chinese. By the way, have we in fact established that Tammy Chin is Chinese? sevfiv
By the way, have we in fact established that Tammy Chin is Chinese? Ha - perhaps! The owner, Linda Bui, also owns the convenience store across MLK (ML King Food Market) and that has been owned by a lot of different folks (attached file). The Phan family (whoever they are) also had in on the convenience store and Tammy Chin (after it changed from Church's chicken...). Chicken Chan, however, has been MIA since Church's time mlk11333.pdf
