The Game Peddler In Willowbrook Mall

I found a couple of pics at a very interesting site called plaidstallions.com Anyway, they have pics of a store called "The Game Peddler". By the Atari and Intellivision systems in the last pic, I am guessing this is from 1979-1980. The pics are stated to come from a Houston mall. Does anyone know which mall or remember the store below? Thanks a bunch!

That was the Willowbrook Mall store and I worked there. Everyone got fired except me under a cloud of theft. It was all crap tho cause they just wanted to replace the staff and had no real reason to do so, hence the trumped up theft accusation. The management said they had video that proved the theft but never produced it.

I vaguely remember going here once to get an atari cartridge we couldn't find anywhere else. I think the spot the store was in is still a game store, Game Stop or something. On the edge of the food court.

Worked there in Almeda & Baybrook mall back in 1982. NOT a happy place. 2016 & I still grit my teeth thinking about it. Yes, Aldor, your situation wasn't unusual.

Sorry to hear it was a lousy place to work.  However, the Game Peddler at Willowbrook Mall has happy memories for me.  This is were my junior high self discovered  "Dungeons & Dragons".  So the quest began here.  Thanks for posting these pictures.
