svarela002
I want to get that discount off my insurance for my Brinks alarm. Did anyone else have to get the police dept to come and inspect?

travelguy_73
What is a city law? That to receive an insurance discount the police have to inspect the system? Or that the police have to inspect it regardless? I pay the yearly alarm permit fee, but no one has ever come out to inspect my system, and I am receiving the discount on insurance because (and only because) the system is monitored (just showed the bill to the insurance company). Lowbrow
My situation was just like travelguy. I showed my insurance guy the bill and he credited me. Although he did mention that he might stop by my place sometime to "check it out". I thought that was kind of weird.
kjb434
I'm closing on my house on monday (2/28/2005). I get a dicount for having the alarm and a bigger one when I prove its monitored. All the insurance agent says he needed is just a bill or reciept from the monitoring company. What this police stuff? I'm getting the discount. I'm not worried about calling the police on this one.
