XLNZ51
Has anyone ever done this on any wood frame project? Do you have some good reference material/contacts that would help in detailing of these two materials used together?

justa4.6
If you are talking about using PBU type metal panels or similar as an exterior finish material over wood framed construction, then yes this is common. It has become the popular trend in multi-family projects in town recently, commonly used in custom single-family homes as well. Midtown abounds with multi-family examples.....Gables new Upper Kirby job is a recent example as well. Rice Military has many single-family examples, Natalie Appelt is a local custom home architect that works with these often. MBCI has many metal panel options, and can help with the detailing / anchorage.
d0369
Hopefully you don't use a PBU panel because the PB stands for Purlin Bearing and is used for metal framed buildings. A U-panel will work fine.
