The fountains were where the childrens play castle now stands.  The area where starbucks is did not exist around that time.  There were no exits there and no dome, just store fronts.

I'm glad this thread is still somewhat alive. Does anyone have any photos of the mall before the 2003 remodel? Besides the one posted earlier from the 70s, I haven't been able to find a single one! I remember in the early 2000s there used to be a water fountain display in one of the mall's rotundas. Does anyone remember where it was located? I want to say it's where Starbucks is now.

I remember going here with my dad as a small child in the 90s. Vague memories, all I remember are orange lights. He says the place used to be a petrochemical lab form what he remembers. Anyway, I've been biking by that place all the time and one day I had the urge to investigate the vacant building. There was an underground parking lot integrated into the building. The architecture was what really struck me. It was this old late 70s style that made the place look eerie but in indescribably good ways. Eventually I went in through what I guess would be the front, and I made eye contact with a lady sitting in its foyer nodding her head and pointing out. So I left, but now that I hear they're tearing it down, I wish I hadn't. Does anyone happen to have photos of the place?

Well I just read your first post and I can't believe these conspiracy theories are still going around. It's simple:

When a building burns for hours and hours, it is bound to collapse (especially when it's made of a steel frame).

That is why firefigters rush to office fires even though there's no one in them in the middle of the night, mainly so the building doesn't collapse. You need to lay off the wackjob conspiracy theories, you honestly don't know as much as I know when it comes to this no offense.

- You know how many people would be involved, if the government killed 3,000 people that day? I cannot begin to give you that number and as you know the more people involved in a conspiracy, the more chances there are of it coming out. Like Enron or watergate, they had a couple people involved and still came out. And now its been 9 YEARS and still not a single famous engineer (and don't name Jones, he's a complete moron and I can explain why if you'd like) has come out and published an article about how the buildings fell "strangely"

Then howcome the government (who were the only people who knew about the terrorists) said that the terrorists weren't from Iraq (the place we foolishly invaded) but instead from Saudi Arabia! Why would the gov't say that when we are oil buddies with the Saudi's and instead invade Iraq, they could have just said the terrorists were from Iraq to complete their "perfect" conspiracy!

So if you have anymore conspiracy theories on 9/11 (ie holes in pentagon, WTC collapses, BBC, etc) I would be happy to disprove them. Like I said, with all due respect, the stance that you hold is absolutely moronic based on common sense.

I have a distant memory of being at a mall as a child (around 1997-2000) and I can't remember the mall but there were a bunch of fountains that were in about 4 triangles. I think this was where the Starbucks used to be at in Memorial City, not sure.

Oh never mind, I just found out, it did use to be where Starbucks now is at MCM.
