  1. Yeah you're dead on. One factor that I used to decide on the rebel xt was the high ISO ability. I always heard the quickness of lens was key. I thought high ISO was ok, but now I know about sensors better. I try to keep the thing at 100 all the time. 200 is ok, but I'm scared to use 400. Is that really ok for bright days, what about cloudy?

  2. Tradewinds on W 34th just off 290 is still there. However, it is closed and for sale.

I used to play hockey there. There were about 4 or five of us who stayed for a couple years. The owners name was Russel, I think. He was our coach. I used to go to oak forrest baptist just up the road. I fell once while we were skating laps and broke my arm and wrist. But we went to nationals twice, where we were soundly defeated by every go---mn team that played north of our latitude. Russels son was the DJ and he had lots of those puppets with the sticks on their hands so you can move em. Our goalie had baseball equipment, when we went to nationals every other team had real hockey equipment.

  3. Funny, I got that same shot. But, do you see that cop car? He was HISDPD and I spent some time talking to him. (Note: when you have a telephoto lens anywhere near an elementary school, go say Hi to the cop FIRST! ! !)

He told me the lot behind it had some nerd guys working on it for two years or so. The theater, I think, is in front of an old cemetery, probably black, maybe, I could be wrong. There, that should be enough disclaimers.

This is the lot that the nerd guys were working on.

PS, that was a really nice cop.

  4. good god I wish I had the money for that. I found an old 8mp xt. the lens is the older ef 70-210 should be about 20 yrs old now. but it has a constant 4 ap and the optics are good. Hoya warming filter. The lens was 150 bucks. Other shots have the 35-80 kit lens

if you got the money for that though, get a full size body with 2 dials.

  5. This is my brother-in-law's charity. He help refugees of war who enter the US legally. The government helps some in the begining, then al Amaanah steps in. They teach them english. They help them get networked and they show them the good things about the US. Mostly the apartments that house the refugees are in the Southwest. If anyone ever wants to come hand out toys or talk to some refugees let me know.
