Well basically it looks like they will do a segment on Houston hiphop every day this week during the Direct Effect program which airs at 6. I saw the one yesterday and it was an interview with Mike Jones. They'll talk about another artist today probably. They are really pushing the Htown scene now, hopefully it isn't treated as just a passing fad.

Respect to Gary for this valid point: Does the league realize that Jeff Van Gundy and Yao Ming have made this same arguement both publicly and privately to the league since the beginning of the season? Hell, they said they even sent videotape of their miscalculated officiating to the league repeatedly. It's nothing new

I think it's reprehensible in today's climate, in any climate, to call someone down for essentially "whistleblowing". I have not heard one word out of that farktard's mouth about actually being alarmed or "extremely disturbed" to hear that something like this would be happening. He looks like a fat cat mob boss up there smiling and reeling off shite like "We hear this all of the time". Well, if you do, maybe that's a farking clue!

How about CatBirds on Westheimer. The music, jazz lounge, is never too loud. They have no food except popcorn. Their drinks are stiff and...well...that pretty much makes a good bar. And it's been around for well over 10 years. I'm not sure exactly how long....

Sorry, but the Montrose Diner has the BEST BURGER in town now. It beats the new Red Lion on Shepherd which trounces Rudyards burger which is pretty even with Baba's. Oh and Lankford's is in a class by itself. Sorry.

The only problem with the Montrose Diner is they can't pull their heads out long enough to take an order, make an order or deliver an order. But if you get a Burger, you're a very happy person!

There is no cool place for Sunday Brunch.

Oops! I didn't see the Licor Lounge thing until after I posted. I was really just looking at the posts and thought I'd chime in. We make NO MONEY so please don't think we're spamming. It's just me and my wife and our friend taking photographs and we REALLY LIKE BEER!

Now, let's get back to the Montrose Diner. I see that they now have a sign that says under new management. Ya wanna know why?

If, like some of you here, had been there, the service SUCKS but the food is GREAT!

I have been there three times and will keep going but I will have to already be drunk and not too hungry to put up with sit down service instead of takeout.

Horrible!

Oh, and the Blue hair is pretty!

I'm not sure what you mean by "ironic", "gay men". The montrose is made up of Straight, Gay, Bisexual, Lesbians, Transgendered, and all people without labels. It's my home and we're VERY proud of it!

As a matter of fact, I think you need to get out more! Come down to the heart of Houston and enjoy what culture and community are all about with people who appreciate the architecture, history, spirit AND lifestyle that makes Montrose unique.

My wife and I live on welch, one block from this installation. I've lived in the Montrose for over 15 years and this is EASILY one of the most original pieces I have ever seen. I am immensly proud to tell people about this work as you can tell because I've spent some time googleing to find this forum!
