Anyone have an idea what is being built on the South East corner of I-10 and Studewood. Right in from of the Studewood Eastbound off ramp of I-10?
It looks like a chain restaurant or something in the style of a TGI Fridays\Bennagins.

I think we need others to do the same to make the thugs feel uncomfortable with our presence.
I saw this email address in a previous post for the central division of the HPD, centralpatrol2district@cityofhouston.net . I have never used it before but I imagine it would be an easy way to communicate your concerns and to follow up if there is no progress.

I also was there Friday and ordered a Shrimp Poboy and Fries and was not very impressed. The poboy literally had only 5 shrimp on it and I am not sure they weren't pre-breaded or something strange. I really had high expectations for this place hopefully it was just an opening night thing and the quality will improve.

Walked by this property yesterday and the office tower sign has been replaced with one that has a one story development in an Art Deco Style.

I am pretty sure it is legal. Heights Blvd between I-10 and Washington is the same way all but 4hours out of the day (People still park there though). It is shame that the few bike lanes that go some where cannot be dedicated bike lanes twenty four seven.

I see bikers in the middle of the street trying to be cars but refusing to stop at lights/stop signs!
If there were adequate bike paths you wouldn't have that problem.

At around 9:15 tonight there was a shooting on E 12th 1/2 St between Beverly and Oxford. The shooter invaded a house with an unlocked door and dogs barking. The shooter fired a shotgun inside the house as the occupants fled then shot at them outside as they fled down the street and then shot at a car coming down the street around the same time.

I have to add this listing, to the discussion of excessively large houses destroying the character of a neighborhood. It is not in Heights proper but west of TC Jester off 11th. It is almost 5 times as large as their neighbor's house with a 5 car garage.
I am sure there is a place for it in Houston but to me it seems a bit distasteful in this neighborhood.
