  1. yes, this is definitely true. The Hwy 6 location told me about it back in May when we ordered fajitas from there for graduation party. They are DEFINITELY THE BEST and we can't wait for their new location over here!!

Oh please no. If overpriced, overcrowded, average food and crappy service is your idea of a good restaurant you don't know what good Mexican (not TexMex) food is. There is so much better to choose from. We tried Lupe's twice and had such bad experiences we swore never to return. We don't understand the mythical appeal of this place. On the other hand, we are looking forward to Las Alamedas opening up in La Centerra.

  2. Oh gosh, not another McD's. We won't be frequenting as we are personally boycotting McD's for hygiene reasons. My son, who never gets ill, ate twice at the Pecan Grove one within a couple of weeks earlier this year. Each time following this he then became violently sick overnight. The only common factor was his trips to McD's so I went by the restaurant. I watched in horror as snotty nosed 17 years olds were making the sandwiches without wearing latex gloves. They were grabbing lettuce, tomatoes etc and dropping it by hand into the buns in between high fiving each other, sticking their hands in their pockets, using their cellphones and scratching their brows. I called up corporate to complain and asked why they were not using gloves. Their reply was that they only do that in states where that is required by law. Otherwise it is optional so I guess in Texas they don't have to. The spokesperson said the policy here is to simply wash their hands. Obviously that is not enough bearing in mind the behaviors I observed. So now we are having our own little McD

  3. I've been there 4 times since they opened (it's really close!). The three times I ate at the bar area the service was lightening fast. The one time I ate at the restaurant area it was really slow plus the waitress spilled the water over our table. I can't explain the speed difference but the bar staff certainly seem totally on the ball and very friendly (I guess they are the most experienced?). Last time we were at the bar a manager dropped by to apologize for the slow service. We explained it wasn't a problem for us as we were actually served quickly and were very happy. We also acknowledged we knew they were new and likely working some kinks out, but we were still happy. He then pulled out his business card and wrote on the back that we should get a dozen free wings. I guess he was pleased to get some good feedback and had taken a few complaints elsewhere. I think they will quickly get it right and look forward to going there often. I like their business model and emphasis on friendly service is a plus. I have noticed that they seem over staffed but one of the older waiters told us this was deliberate as they knew they would likely be weeding out some who could not cut it.

  4. Official opening is indeed Monday at 10am. However, they are currently having a soft opening for training purposes Thursday 23rd through Saturday the 25th. I attended last night and it was great. They were providing the appetizer sampler for FREE plus two drinks (only) at $2 each. It was packed and this place is going to be a hit. It's bigger on the inside that it looks from the outside and has a much larger bar seating area than the one in Rosenberg. Plenty of TV's and everything else you would expect at BWW. There were tons of staff because of the training but they look like a good bunch and were very friendly and helpful.

  5. Got to back up Mr. B. Comparing Stadia Wings (or any of their food actually) to Buffalo Wild Wings is a non starter. BWW blows them away every time. I eat regularly at BWW in Richmond and am addicted to the Caribbean Jerk, Asian Zing and Mango Habanero wings. I live very close to the BWW about to open and if they are anywhere close to the one in Richmond I'll be a very happy camper. The service I get in BWW Richmond at the bar is also excellent, unlike the rude service I have had at Stadia a couple of times to the point I have given up on Stadia and will not be back.

  6. Stopped by again and had a nice chat with the owner. He confirmed the Cinco Ranch HOA have been a major pain in blocking his patio plans so he is giving up that fight. Now hopes to simply put some tables and umbrellas on the grassy area instead. He will add some balls and the likes for kids to play with in the wide open area in front of that. He is also going to put booths in along one wall and has been actively reading everyone

  7. Got to agree with the trend of comments above. On the positive side, a not to bad place with decent food, draft pints of Tennants(!) which I miss from Scotland and good Irish music at the weekends. On the other hand it just seems to be missing that special little extra something. It seems a little sterile because although it has a nice bar in one corner, the rest doesn't quite fit as it is a typical strip center with modified rectangular space devoid of character. A fire, a few booths, more stuff on the walls etc. would pad it out and add to the atmosphere. If you could combine the best of Baker Street and The Angel & The Ox and miss out the worst that would be perfect. I can see the future of it as a place to start your weekend night out till about 10.30 before you head over to Baker Street to get to the real action.
