The guys behind the 2012 are flying along with the building work, the latest London olympics photos show they are already above ground and there is another 4 years to go!
The architects HOK Sport are a Kansas City firm, although it is the London office that are doing the Olympic stadium.
It won’t have the 'audacity' and sheer presence of the 'bird nest' but it aims to lightly touch the site and context with the ability to reduce back after the games to leave a useable legacy rather than a 90,000 seat white elephant that has happened in the past to Olympic venues. Sustainability is the key!
