Did anyone see the heated exchange in the Rockets/Suns game last night?

Wonder who will be suspended and for how long...

Did anyone see when Yao and Howard bumped each other and Artest came in to defend Yao? What did you guys think about that? It was pretty funny to me but at the same time you could obviously tell that Artest is trying to earn Yao's respect. Artest sure has looked dominant in the first two games though. Just think of when/if T-Mac gets healthier because he has shot a horrid 30% percent in the last two games....He is KILLING my fantasy team!

This will be a very interesting season. I have to get tickets!

It's great working over here. It seems as if there is a new project going on every day I come to work. The Methodist Outpatient facility is going up quickly!

I noticed it last night while I was over at U of H. I liked the blue a lot as well but I don't have a problem with the new one they have.

What does it look like now? I've not been out late in some time.

If I remember correctly it's just white but I think it actually makes the Continental Building stand out even more now because the blue seemed to blend in more with the night sky.

Does anyone have a photo of it?

It was really crazy to see that. I came home with just a couple of minutes left in the game and saw that they were up 27-10 and the announcers were talking about how it was one of the largest leads they have ever had on them in Reliant or something, which now I am thinking that isn't true because they beat them pretty bad a year or two ago in Reliant, but I walked into the other room to get the clothes out of the dryer and walked back in the room to see that the score was then 27-24...and they Colts were at the Texan 5 yard line...I was completely shocked. Truth be told, I am a Jaguar fan but to see them collapse like that was truly disheartening.

Was driving home late the other day, and the light seems to be working again.

YES, I was going to post the same thing this morning! I saw it on last night a little after 7:30. Good to see it up and working again. It made my weekend.

Maybe they should just rotate T-Mac and Yao in/out of the line-up throughout the regular season to keep them rested and feeling fresh for the playoffs...

22-game win streaks are fun... but they would be more fun if they happened when it counts (the playoffs).

I will always remember the 22 game winning streak! It was such an awesome atmosphere and was really exciting to be a part of.

I am a T-Mac supporter to the end but I don't see the point of him basically telling us that he is going to get injured AGAIN at some point this season. I guess most Rocket fans already felt it was inevitable but if you are trying to keep the hopes of the city in full swing, would you really tell the press that and put the concern/doubt out there?

Like the other two said, it's usually always like that. That was a great idea to put Uptown Park there because it's always vibrant and really adds to the upscale feel of the Galleria area. The Cafe Express that they have there isn't as good as the others that my wife and I have been to but it's still pretty nice.

Thanks for all of the updates everyone. That really is a shame! I can't wait until they get it back up and running.

The beacon usually comes on right at dusk & shuts off exactly at midnight.

Maintenance maybe?

No, this was at around 9 or 10. I don't know if it's maintenance because this will be about each week or so. It could be but I'm not sure. I haven't seen it on in a while though. I tried to see if it was on the other night 9/17 and it wasn't on.

Unfortunately I never tried to go higher to the other floors. Once, when a buddy and I were bored, we tried to race all the way down the stairwell. Being out of shape, I was ready to collapse before we gave up around the 20th floor. Had to keep going down to another floor before we could exit the stairwell without using a cardkey. We never had to evacuate during a fire drill, only had to wait by a stairwell. I just couldn't imagine the chaos that would ensue if they tried to evacuate the building that way.

That was pretty funny! I busted out laughing in my office. It must have been really cool to go there every day to work.

There was a place in the Med Center that I went to a couple of times that had really good pizza but I think they closed it. It was a pizza & sushi placed combined.

I'm all for it. The Astrodome is symbolic of Houston and I think it should stay. It doesn't matter how old it is, I always enjoy seeing it when I drive by it.

I got no answer, but I have seen the beacon turned on and rotating at night since that post. So it is hit or miss, but it is still on at random times.

That's crazy that you asked the exact same question! I had no idea. Thanks for the reply though.

Can anyone tell me if they have shut the beacon off? The last couple of times that I have seen the Galleria area at night, it hasn't been on. I tried to do some research to see if any of the news stations had any reports on it but I couldn't find anything. I just had this huge fear that because of high gas prices they might have shut it down for a while or something.
