That drink I thought was kinda funky but downed many of them at the Memorial city Mall when it was hot growing up in memorial hollow... That mall was an island of cool in the heat...

Orange Julius stores were very prominent in malls during the 80's San Jac had one Sharpstown had one, Memorial City. Pretty much ever food court had them.

I thoroughly enjoyed looking at those historic photos and thanks for sharing them! Are there any photos of the upstairs 'sleeping porch' that I've read so much about or the master suite area? I'd love to see those. And yes I've contributed to and signed the petition to save the JW Mansion.

I have decided to post more images of the old West Mansion and get a little more into the room detail. I will show the wide angle of a room and then pick close up images of items in the room.... I will do all the rooms but have started with just a few of the more interesting....

Here are a few from my collection of that great old home... These were taken when the home was first built...I will have to scan some more to post but here are a couple of bedrooms plus the garden area out back overlooking the lake... It would make sense that a rich basketball player could spend a few of his millions to take care of the proprety he owns in our community.... oh well... Story III
