We don't need glitzy lights to gussy-up our downtown to make it appear to be more than it is.

But some people love their lights. Kinda like cockroaches like neon.

Are you referring to any city in particular there?

I like the way the Houston skyline looks at night. I really dig it when you can see the galleria area, downtown, and the medical district from a distance. I used to refer to it as "the three downtowns of Houston" when driving in from College Station.

Wow, good news. Houston is really racking up the consulate offices.

Very cool! We are waiting for something like this to appear in Dallas. Should be a great investment in Houston.

If you are talking about the new chemical engineering building (my degree).  I have not seen it... I am dying to see what its like.

I spent three years in the Zachry building.  This was not the most up to date of buildings.

Yes, I believe that's the one. It fronts University and stands about 8-9 stories. It's pretty slick.

There is no reason for that kind of attitude.

Wow, I had not seen or heard about this. My wife and I drove through campus this past weekend (Sunday after the Clemson game) and really enjoyed it. Given the architectural mistakes of the past, I still love the campus and look forward to future improvements.

The new engineering building is pretty sweet by the way.

I went a couple days after it happend and have seen the site a few times from my car since. When completed, I will visit it.

I went there during the summer, and I must say the reflection pool is awesome. It was pretty crowded too.

Just because you build it...does not mean they will come. As long as Las Vegas, San Diego, and Orlando don't fumble, it will continue to be diffficult for Houston (and Dallas) to build their respective convention business to a level that we (Houstonians and Dallasites) are all satisffied with.
