I'm from DFW and I'm truly not surpirsed at how Plano is acting. Plano people are very stuck up and they are very quick to tell you they are from west Plano and some even go as far giving you their subdivision lol. Most of us other DFW folks either say Dallas or Ft. Worth when asked where we're from. (I'm saying this because I'm a student here at Texas Tech in Lubbock and the question of where you are from always arises)

I'm from Irving, but I always tell people that I'm from Dallas.. does it matter.. hell no! I have friends in Cypress, Katy, and Sugarland and they also say they're from Houston. It isn't until one gets deeper into a conversation that one finds out where people are really from. I guess it's a bit different here in the Dallas metro because there are so many suburbs and people really don't care so we just say Dallas. I mean like who the fuk up in Chicago would know where Irving is? lol just my 2 cents

^I know right! This thread was basically going in the right direction until Houcajan arrived (the thread maker asked for everyone to say nice things about DFW). Thanks Houcajan and you seem really mature and educated.. just thought I should let you know.

If that's the case, why did PDiddy who's from New York come down to Houston to have a huge celebrity party a few weeks ago and not Dallas?

I honestly believe both cities are basically the same with maybe Dallas looking 1 month younger than Houston.

You should really consider touring the Dallas area much more extensively if that is all you saw. I could say the same about Houston (I really like H-town btw) if perhaps I visited the Pasadena area. Did you manage to get off the highways much? Try to get deep into North Dallas (south of 635) on Preston Rd. and you'll get a better feeling of the city.

Well if I told people I was from Irving, then they wouldn't know where that's at so I just say Dallas. I don't see anything funny about that at all. To each his own though.
