The Fri. and Sat. night speedtraps must be a new thing. Both nights they were setup running radar in the Sawyer area.

On Friday on the way to the Corkscrew, I counted 5 cruisers in a parking lot with 3 cars pulled over. A couple of blocks down on the other side of the street was a cop standing on the sidewalk shooting radar. I left the Corkscrew at midnight and they were still shooting radar on Washington and a couple of blocks later I saw a driver on the sidewalk getting a sobriety check.

I pretty much the same thing Sat. night too. So remember folks, it's 30 MPH on Washington. Stay alert, stay alive, and hopefully out of jail too.

Good tip!! I know for a fact that my husband and I both go flying down washington. I never go under 40, that's for sure. Personally I don't mind that police there to monitor the drunk driving, as long as I remember to slow down myself!

I went to Specs on Smith near Midtown earlier this week and saw at the very minimum 7 po-pos! I'm still not used to seeing that kind of security presence in our area. It's change that I'm glad to see though.

Pot Belly backed out (I didn't see them on the Property Commerce pdf)?!?!?! Did I miss a post about that?!

Also, do we know when they're supposed to start breaking ground for Petsmart, Freebirds, Fatburger or Marble Slab?!

It seems to me that after they finished Chili's & Panda Express, construction halted. They need to move faster! The first post was from 2004, you'd think 4 years later we'd at least have half of the stores up already. All the other shopping centers seems to be going up so much more quickly!

Maybe my perception is off.... patience is not a virtue I possess =o)

How long are you willing to wait?? The reason why I ask is b/c our neighbors on the corner of Byrne & Watson are currently fixing up their house. If you drive by, I believe they're in the process of painting it yellow. Pretty sure they're going to sell the house when they're done, but I can double check depending on your timeline!

I definitely think the bungalows will survive. There's too many people renovating their houses in our area for it to all go away.

Has anybody else been to Beavers? What's your opinion?

Maybe I was too excited and therefore had high expectations... my husband and I were dissapointed in the BBQ... maybe it's b/c Lulings and Lyndons are big footsteps to fill. The portions were super tiny too for the price. We're in TEXAS! Small portions are not acceptable ;o)

We'll be back though to try some beer & a burger this time. Definitely don't want to give up on this place yet!

Couple positives though, the banana pudding is AWESOME! =o)Also, the atmosphere was neat in that it incorporated the "ice house" feel.

If you like Target you will love this, I couldn't download the file on here b/c it was too big...It's another ORR Commercial job...It'll be located just north of the railroad tracks near the Social with its east and west borders being Heights and yale respectively, It's northern border will be E. 2nd street! What is DICKIE'S? A Restaurant? My first thought was overalls And I'm new here to HAIF, so what happened to the Chick-Fil-A? My husband had told me when the Target first opened that we were going to be getting one! Thanks for the info!
