Correct, it was on Main and Congress across Main Street from the old bank building. I do not believe it was ever on Franklin unless it was before 1967 when I started working in that area.
The caption on the Houstoric Project for the PP should be corrected.
the caption has been corrected, i thought it had been corrected months ago.
perhaps the update hadn't taken. thnx.

Thought I'd add a link to pictures of the demolished buildings. Thanks sevfiv for the names.
many thnx for that pdf link and info. I had heard differing comments when I first scouted for the Pink Pusscat Club. One mentioned that it was on Main, really close to the courthouse and that it had moved. I personally do not know too much about it and the internet makes it seem as if it never existed. I just found the location of where the sign was in the photo.
Perhaps it had 2 signs? One on the Main side and one on the back end of the building?

Thank you for the mention on HAIF.
I was recently featured on Great Day Houston on KHOU talking about the project:

Wow abrahang, you've got like 35 minutes of video uploaded. That's great! I shot the start from the opposite corner. Its on the Facebook event videos page, but I haven't put it on Youtube so I can embed yet.
cool, i'll check it out. there were 8 parts, but i removed the very last video as it was really dark.
i do a bike ride in the heights every sunday morning and film most of our rides as well.

You may also remember Critical Mass from the news. On a Critical Mass ride in New York, a rookie cop approached and tackled a cyclist, then arrested him for assaulting an officer and made up a story about how the cyclist had targeted him and knocked him down with his bike. Unfortunately for the cop, the video someone took proved otherwise.
Officer Patrick Pogan was fired and indicted.
i saw that video on friday right before the ride.
one of my co-workers was like, "don't be watching that stuff before you join the ride for the first time."
i thought friday's ride was great. here's footage:

here is a map of this past friday's ride:

the NEW I-10 EAST exit from 610 northbound is crazy. you get about 15 feet to cut over to the right lane... ALL WHILE people are entering the freeway from the feeder IN THAT SAME RIGHT LANE. and most of those people are trying to get over to the left to take the I-10 West exit.
makes no sense.

it ended up being a billboard for my credit union.

While on 18th street traveling west crossing North Durham... you can see a concrete street post that shows NASHUA STREET. i recall looking at an old map and it showed North Durham was Nashua past 17th street.
i'll try to post a picture soon on the concrete post.

So how's tricks? Are you the one in high heels
yeah, no.
there seems to have been an adjustment today.
the lights on jefferson off of the dallas/pierce exit flowed the way they did before the switch.
-
i work at the corner of milam & pease and have never seen SO MANY cars waiting for the light to turn green ever at 5:29pm.
-
they need to simply change the light back to how they were before they ruined it.
they were fine the way they were before.
