  1. We have lived in the area for more than 13 years and loved it. In our work we travel on average 300 miles per week around Houston and Sugar Land. As long as you are not in peak drive time Sugar Land provides is best access to the main attractions of the city. For instance; 25 mins to the baseball stadium, basketball arena, downtown and convention center, 18 mins to the Galleria, 45 mins to Kemah (water front boardwalk) and 80 mins to Galveston. Since the opening of the Sugar Land Town Square, a much more livley commercial district has developed. Regular community events are held at this great city center piece. Is it NY or LA no. But crime? None. Golf? Yes. 4.5 star dinning? Yes. Class A Retail? Yes. Great Schools? Yes And you are still a short drive to all the features that the 4th largest city in America offers.

  2. Be ware of the sticker shock after you choose what you want for upgrades. You will be shocked to see the total after your wishes are applied to the house. Typical mark up may range 30 - 40% above retail for nearly every upgrade you put into a house. For instance; granite countertops are a very competitive business these days so the price is dropping. The trick is that you are unable to bring in your own contractor until after you close and most financing can not escrow these upgrades after you close. If you can hold some cash in reserve then I sugguest buy the minium package for interior finishing and exterior landscaping. Perform these upgrades after you close and choose quality items that will give you more return.

  3. Thanks so much for the quick feedback.

This was my first post and unfortunately I directed you to one of our origional efforts several weeks ago as the clip to review. I will post another couple for review if you do not mind the the comming days that are a slight step above.

    TRIPOD--YES

Personal Intro-??? Not sure I am confident with the copy writing. I have seen many other videos on Wellcomemat from NY and I do not like the "er"-"um" script or non script that is natural when you are doing a intro without a prewritten ad copy. Just my hang up at this time.

Mic--I am now using the Snowball as my mic and I think the audio will be improved.

Music- Trying to sync the change in photos/vids with a track change. Still a learning curve though.

I am still stuck on the PC but I do love the MAC for this stuff.

    Thanks again.

If you see a guy driving around your neighborhood with a video camera please donlt be afraid. :)

Can I embed the video into the posts? I tried with HTML w/o success.

  4. In an effort to develop the Web 2.0 tools for the next generation of Real Estate here is one of our first attempts at in house video production. These types of videos are intended to promote the area and make it easier to promote the city to potential relocatees. Yes, the video is not ready for [Prime time. However, for what most agents can offer to out of town clients we are happy with the initial level. In the future we are expanding our reach out of Sugar Land and shooting for other areas in the city. If you do not mind providing a brief review I would appreciate it.
