  1. Before her leaving the Houston market she always kept secrets about what her husband was up to exactly. It turns out he was her agent and a pretty crazy one at that. Check out this incident where he asked some blogger to remove a posting critical of Jan:

    Matthew Kingsley's agency is here:

I would watch this page to get some previews of changes to come in the future since the Carey blogspot is extict now.

FRIDAY DAN LAUCK WILL DISCUSS HIS PERSONAL BATTLE FOR THE FIRST TIME!

If you've ever watched KHOU, you've probably seen Dan Lauck. He is one of the best reporters who has been given the task of narrating a tale for the visual medium we know as television. After years in the business the veteran reporter is retiring. Lauck is leaving in part because of his battle with Parkinson's. One of his good friends, Greg Groogan with FOX 26, says he will truly be missed. Groogan describes Lauck as one of the best writers in the business. Dan is expected to address his personal battle with Parkinson's for the first time in a televised report set to air on KHOU Friday night. Lauck is one of the few reporters The Insite has actually told face to face that I was a big fan. He's just that good. Here's more about Mr. Lauck and the illness Parkison's at the links below:

Dan Lauck, an award-winning reporter -- both in print and television -- now serves as a general assignment reporter for KHOU-TV.

  3. This is according to Isiah Carey via http://carey2.blogspot.com/

It was announced today that FOX 26 morning anchor Jan Jeffcoat is leaving. She is headed to anchor the morning show at FOX in Chicago. The announcement was made by Station Manager D'Artagnan Bebel in a 2:00 pm staff meeting. Jan's last day on the air at FOX 26 will be June 8. There is no word from management who will take her place on the show. Keep reading the Insite for more details. Jan, we wish you the best in the Windy City!

  4. Cecilia Sinclair has officially signed off as Channel 26's chief meteorologist and will be feted today on the Fox station's morning show. Sinclair, who has been off the air since mid-February, discovered that trying to be a meteorologist and tending to a special-needs child was the equivalent of two full-time jobs.

Channel 26 tried to make it easier for Sinclair by taking her off the prime-time newscast and moving her to mornings.

  5. She is hot!

Lucy Noland, a Saigon native and single mother of three, will become co-anchor of Channel 11's 5 and 10 p.m. news beginning Monday. She replaces Lisa Foronda, who announced in December that she was leaving the station.

Nolan said the beauty of the city, the warmness of the people and the sizable Vietnamese population figured in her leaving her job as co-anchor of the morning show at the Fox affiliate in New York City,

Going from the No. 1 to the No. 10 market is notan unprecedented move. Channel 11 anchor Greg Hurst came here from New York.

"It's time for me to put down roots, to have a house and home," Noland said. "This nomadic lifestyle has been fun. It's taken me far and wide, and it's provided me the depth of knowledge to know a good thing when I see it. Houston's it."

Before New York, Noland worked at stations in Detroit; Fresno, Calif., and Anchorage and Fairbanks, Alaska. She is a member of the Asian American Journalists Association.
