Any recommendations for a GC who has successfully expanded a Heights bungalow, keeping historic character intact? Looking for someone to do an add-on. Quality & timeliness of work important. Ideas?

A Community Development Panel at the Federal Reserve
The Yale Club of Houston, Capital One, and ULI Houston would like to invite you to attend an exciting panel discussion on the impact of community development in Houston. The panel will highlight ways in which local organizations are helping Houston and area residents build assets, primarily through affordable housing development and other community investments. Leaders of Capital One, Houston Habitat for Humanity, Covenant Community Capital Corporation, and Houston LISC will also highlight ways in which community development can be good business - either through accessing untapped markets (such as working class citizens) or through accessing government incentives like tax credits and housing grants.
Our confirmed panelists are:
- Laura Bailey, Managing Vice President, Community Loans and Investments, Capital One
- Algenita Scott Davis, Executive Director, Houston Habitat for Humanity
- Stephan Fairfield, President/CEO, Covenant Community Capital Corporation and Covenant Neighborhoods
- Gloria Sanderson, Program Director, Houston LISC (Local Initiatives Support Corporation)
- Moderator: David Kim, Project Manager, Covenant Neighborhoods
DATE: Thursday, March 8th, 2007
TIME: Reception 6 - 6:30 pm, Panel discussion and Q&A 6:30 - 7:45 p.m.
LOCATION: The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Houston Branch, 1801 Allen Parkway
COST: $15 includes light refreshments
For more information and to register, please visit www.yaleclubofhouston.org by March 5th. For security reasons, the Federal Reserve requires the name of each person attending the event in advance.

If you do go the custom route, try Daniel Rosales, 713/208-3983. Almost too much of a perfectionist but reasonable and does good work.
