  1. Anyone know what daycare franchise is building the new daycare on Westheimer near Fry, very close to the country club? It looks like a Kids R Kids, but there is already one of those at Mason and Westheimer and one that close doesn't make sense. If you've seen a post about this already, just let me know, as I didn't see it in my initial search and google didn't help. Thanks.

  2. Gotta be a joke or methinks its a landowner looking to get bought out by General Growth Properties or Blackhorse for a real nice price. There's no way they'd put something like that there. Expensive homes all around there and that particular intersection is primed for commercial. Looks like somebody got pissed off and splashed paint on it. Would like to hear the backstory on this.

    I also noticed that the name "Mustang Ranch" used to be a name for a famous brothel in Nevada before it was burnt down. Definitely looks like a joke to me. At least I hope it is! ;)

  3. Does anyone know anything about the proposed Mustang Ranch Trailer Park? There is a sign located at the corner of House Hahl and Mound, nead Fry Rd. that says it is coming soon. It is at the entrance of a community called Stonridge, Beazer Homes. or......Does any one know how to get info about a sign like this? How would anyone know if its really going to be a Trailer park or if it is just a hoax by a disgruntled land owner.

  4. I found this in the Bridgeland community newsletter. Can you guys help me find out what's being planned? Specific stores, etc. I couldn't find anything on the GGP website. Any ideas? Is it too soon to tell? I wander if it's going to be anything like La Centerra in Cinco Ranch? At least it claims to not be a typical strip center.

  5. West Belt and I-10 won't be too bad. Probably 40 minutes. Roughly 40-45 for 59 (north, I presume?)

    Actually he works at 59 South and the Beltway. I see the northbound Beltway traffic in the evenings and it's not too pretty so I guess he's going to have to deal with that. :blink:

    I'm just sick and tired of putting 100 miles on my car everyday and I guess this is the trade off I'll have to live with. Less miles and tolls, but potentially the same time on the road.

  6. I can't imagine what people are thinking when buying a house out there if they will need to use 290 to get to work. I don't think there is a worse commute in Houston these days.

    My husband and I are actually thinking about buying a home in this community. We are outdoorsy type people and the neighborhood really appeals to us. I work close to the West Belt and I-10 and he works at the West Belt and 59. But, we live in League City so we are used to the long drives but want to cut it down. Can anyone give me an idea of how long they think it would take me/us to get to work from Bridgeland if we left around 6AM or 6:30? What about back roads - are they just as bad as 290? 529? Clay Road? West Road? Any feedback would be appreciated!
