  1. I have heard that you can hear your neighbors in the next unit. Is this true in your situation? The building seems to have that reputation because I have heard that comment from different people. Also, is the maintenance fee based on square footage or do the small units pay the same as the large units?

I am currently leasing a loft, so I wouldn't know what the maintanance fee is based on. You can hear your neighbors in the next unit, but its very minimal noise.

Other than that, its a great place to live in. Very quiet for the most part.

  2. My girlfriend and I were driving around the studewood and I-10 area and she told me about some "BIG WHITE PRESIDENTS HEADS" that were located a couple of blocks behind that new target on Studewood. So we passed by there and I see them all lined up on a property of this industrial factory place. What is the story behind those figures?

My gf mentioned something that some millionaire order them to be made but something happen...

  3. I was thinking somehwere near 288 would be good. Cause I see nothing but grass south of Reliant.

Long as it's inside the beltway, it's fine.

I think people whine and delicate flower too much about location. I can understand it being in Sealy and being pissed because that is TOO far.

I think the Woodlands, League City/Webster, is too far.

Sugar Land is okay, Clear Lake is okay, maybe even Friendswood is ok. Pearland is okay. Kingwood is okay, anywhere in Cypress is okay, but only as far as Cy-Fair high school. I forgot what road its on. Spring is okay to have it.

They don't want to play at Robertson Stadium permanently.

Stay as far away from the SUBURBS...very boring may I say!!!

  4. Cocaine's a hell of a drug...

What about where ex Astroworld location site use to be at? I heard that where Delmar stadium is at ( Next to Northwest Mall) would be a PERFECT SPOT.

    Downtown will be nice too.

Say NO to the a SUBURB stadium!!!

  5. McMansions are popping up in many unlikely areas. 16/1700 blk of Wellington first blk E of Hardy toll road has a "biggie" on N side of street. I wouldn't consider it a McMansion, but it is quite overbuild for the area. Futher down street is lot covered with bricks, maybe he's a brick layer? I would never win the "yard of the month", but most of those over build for the area do not seem to do

ANY landscaping & soon the place just blends in with the neighborhood. Between 59N & Hardy Toll Rd there are many large new homes being built. Building in these areas with no or little restrictions allows the owners to be able to have parking for vehickles/equipment/etc. with no complaints from neighbors [as many neighbors probably work for the owner of the large new homes]. Much of the new construction is probably neighborhood development projects with lots being acquired from governments for little cost for the lots. Lots are tax foreclosures/etc. There are huge lots in the area, many @ 200' deep with very beautiful mature trees.

I think the house you are talking about is on E Hardy Toll Road and Gulf Bank. I want to say that is a "true" mansion and I have mentioned it before in this forum. I would try to post pics later.

  6. I know that 6th degrees lounge/bar closed its doors not so long ago...do you know if they are going to reopen anything new in that space?

6th degrees used to be located at the bottom of the bayou lofts building.

  7. Sooner or later, it will be taken over by yuppies. Basically anything close to downtown will be a reflection of what its midtown. Just take a look at EAST END...is slowly developing into another Midtown.

In my own personal opinion, i don't really dig the new townhomes...they look very "cheap" made. I would rather want for homeowners to restore old buildings (like the old firehouse from another thread) around the houston area and turn them into lofts...now that would keep the history of Houston from vanishing.
