Yep. There is another picture I can't find, but it looked like white water rapids rushing through the tunnel system.

Hence the reason everyone is rooting for more residential in DT. Residential in the form of the pavilions or that Fingers project, and Days Inn(renovation) ect. More residents equals to more retail, happier happy hour in downtown, things to do and a thriving city center. The potential is there and we are in the process of seeing this happen
I have lived downtown for almost seven years and I have seen people come and go. They thought they wanted to be urban but never really understood what it would mean to live downtown. For those of us that also work downtown we walk a lot. It is an almost unheard of concept for some of these people who are accustomed to driving 100 yards to the nearest strip center convenience store. People stay up late here, mostly due to the clubs, so there is a lot of complaining about the noise.

I lived in Midtown back when Tropical Storm Allison hit, a ton of people had their cards parked on the street over by AMLI Midtown/Oak Court...lots of flooded cars.
I was in the Front Porch Pub during Allison. I was stuck there until 4 am. Which was not necessarily a bad thing.

Which building has the bell tower downtown? Is it the Esperson Building? Is it a real bell, or speakers?
I love hearing this. You can really hear it well in the parking garages along Fannin.
It's the best when the clock strikes 12.
Yes, it is Esperson. The building has five tubular bells for Westminster chimes.

Who in the hell would want to live Downtown?
Me. I have been downtown for almost 7 years. I love it. I walk to work and now that gas is $3 a gallon it is a big savings. I fill up with gas every month or so.
Who would want to live in suburbia and commute several hours every day?

Scheduled for early July.

What I would really like is a small urban grocery within walking distance and for the CVS to stay open later.

A Target and a Wal-Mart downtown? Right, that is just what we need. We can put in Chuck E Cheese right next to them. Maybe next to that we can add a strip center with a Starbuck
