I think they have done some re-planning and rebranding. The NewQuest's development seems to still be on, but they're now calling it "Peargrounds", and there are some new renderings. On the NewQuest site, they currently have it mapped to the wrong location along SH 35 instead of the South Freeway. Maybe I'll email them about that.

I think this looks even bigger and better than before! Certainly more fleshed-out. If they continue with plan, it will be something nice.

My thoughts exactly. It would mean extending it a little over 2 miles south, and in a relatively undeveloped area of land. ROW should be minimal to obtain. Unfortunately, seems like METRO's latest plans don't mention an extension south in much of any way, but rather east/west only. I know that we should definitely have a line heading to Hobby, but Pearland folks would probably kill to have a park and ride with rail extension anywhere near the Beltway.

This one is opening next month (April 13, 2019), and will be home to Houston's Major League Rugby team, the Houston SaberCats. It's currently in the construction phase (broke ground back in July 2018), and will have a modest capacity of 4,000. Overall project cost is $15.25 million, and was partially funded by a long-term loan from the City of Houston. The location here is city-owned land at a newly-developed addition to Houston Sports Park which will be visible along the South Freeway (SH 288) at its overpass at Sims Bayou. Principal naming rights were sold to current team sponsor AVEVA, who is a British-based multinational software company.
