We moved in our house 9 years ago after a complete tear down to stud remodeling. We were down sizing from 1600 SF to 864 SF. After the remodel the house settled some due to weight of sheetrock versus paneling. We had Anchor Foundation come out and they did a really good job for $1000. Seven years later the house settled a little more and we called Anchor to do an adjustment on our lifetime warranty... out of business. Probably just took the money and ran. We asked the guy who was professionally moving a block and beam house into our neighborhood to take a look at our house and give us an estimate. He said no problem @ $1500 and I said do it! He did more damage than good and took the money and would not give us a receipt aka- proof. Talked to my attorney and he said no-go due to lack of evidence to presue... basically I was out $1500. His company, that I would not reccomend, will be listed below. Last month we called out for estimates as we could budget this work in. Honesty Foundation and Texans Foundation come out. Honesty Foundation, who is not even listed on the BBB, said that gutters need installed to drain water away from the blocks? Jimmy Garcia, the owner of Texans Foundation gave us an estimate of $2000 after using his yellow "stick" and said he could do it in one day. I said fine and scheduled a leveling date. The crew leader, Robert, called and said they were stuck in Houston traffic. He gotthere at 1:00 PM, had lunch under our Oak tree, and were gone before 4:30 PM when I got back from work. I, thankfully, got the receipt and 5 year warranty information via e-mail from Jimmy. Now he is dodging my e-mails and calls and thinks I will go away. My back door no longer opens and last night with the storms my front door was sticking bad causing a dangerous situation if we had a fire and had to get out. I had to unscrew my porch boards a reinstall the jack I had under the beam to correct the problem. Sorry for rembling but I am pissed at some peoples work. I think I need to just cut some flooring where I am having the problems and do it myself with the help of some of my young employees who are skinny and strong. I will call All Texas Foundation tomorrow and see if the can do an assesment. As for Jimmy Garcia at Texans Foundation... he will see me and my attorney in Small Claims Court seeking restitution and damages. I am a small business owner and would never slander another company but these are the guys you should never use:
