Took my three year old on Friday. It’s a big whiff of a playground.
Agreed. The new playground seemed much too small and the structures were not fun at all. The old playground was much more functional. We had high hopes but left disappointed.

when does get go back on the ballot? why didnt metro include it this time
Great news! Seems that Metro is building up momentum for a new bonding authority in 2017. They have done some great work in reimagining the bus lines and lining up political support. The 90A commuter line isnt my first choice, but see how it helps build support for future lines.

I never thought the homeless were that bad downtown, and would normally agree that just telling them no and moving on works well for me. My GF, however, has a much different experience. The homeless just seem more aggressive with her. Even I feel more unsafe when I am walking with her than if I am just by myself. Anyone here saying getting harassed by the homeless is no big deal better check their entitlement if they are male

I'm curious how the rail is performing during large events like the games at MMP, BBVA, and the UH stadium? Anyone taken the train instead of driving to yesterday's game?
This was around 10:30 PM from the UH game on Saturday. The rail made it very easy and we avoided all the traffic. Double stacked cars too!

My dream for years has been to renovate a run down bungalow in Eastwood. Anyone out there that has gone through that process offer any advice? Any recommendations for architects/general contractors who specialize in historic home restoration? Thanks in advance

I was walking on Main near Barringer Bar and saw a TABC license next door for "The Study." It is in the same building as the Houston photo studio, with the old "Beer Cellar" sign outside. I looked inside but did not see any renovations so far. Looks like a nice place, terrazzo floors and a elevated portion in the back.

They could do a lot with that area if they pedestrianized that street to make it more walkable. Tons of activity already on foot but not very welcoming.
