Just walked by early today, looks like they're starting/working on the 4th floor. I'll try to take a picture later today when I walk by again. 

I bet one of them is the fabled, mythical 102 story W Hotel.

I hope they finish the public parking garage first. Midtown desperately needs increase parking space. 

I wonder if that random bit of blue is just a primer or the actual color they plan on going with?

Very minimal and clean, great to see this going up in this part of midtown!

I've taken the train for that ride solely to avoid that block. But it seems like people are starting to hang out in the parking lot across from bell station now

I know exactly what you're talking about. I get off at the stop everyday for the last year and the number has slowly continued to build. I think it's because on both sides of the street there is two benches and a public water fountain. It's the perfect place to post up if you have no where else to go. I guess it just took sometime for all of them to realize there was two water fountains there. 

Great design, much better than the original!

I'm counting about 15floors~ close to the halfway mark on the height! about 25 more weeks until she's topped off? or around 6months. 

Here's what the Houston Business Journal reported just last month:

 

"Camden has two tracts of land in downtown Houston that it is eying for future development, Campo said. However, Camden likely will have no construction starts in Houston this year due to the onslaught of new apartment projects flooding the market, sky-high construction costs and oil prices hovering near six-year lows, he said.

 

“Even if we wanted to start this year, we couldn’t,” Campo said. “There could be a 2016 start. We’ll watch to see if the timing is right.”"

I wonder how this affects the downtown building incentives? I knew we hit the limit last month on the number, but if he's not going to be building does this mean technically a new party could come in and claim the incentives if they build first?

I wonder what will go in the middle? A pool or just an open court yard?

Is the old Days Inn the giant abandoned building kinda south west of this Holiday Inn? It's seriously be biggest eye sour with downtown right now. Wouldn't mind seeing that go or at least cleaned up a bit. 

So is the fencing new or is that the same fencing that was put up when they were doing the plumping thing a few months ago?

Wow, coming along really nicely and quick too! This is going to look great once it's finally completed. 

Walked by yesterday, looks like they've finished all the glass paneling.

Already makes the surrounding area look a bit nicer. 

I heard there was government housing near this area, are those blue and white buildings in the background them? or just very drab townhouses?

Very exciting! Slowly, but surely this side of Midtown is getting nicer.
