Heard from the architect's office that the project has been released and drawings are in full swing. Push is to get to permit in the next 60 days. Very exciting.

Does anyone have renderings of these projects yet? The only one I've seen is Acoma.. I'm not even sure if the other 2 are finished yet.

They're going insane with these highrise condos. They'll flood the market with them, and in a few years, when occupancy is like, 50%, they'll lower the prices. I plan on taking full advantage.

I heard the one at Sage and 59, that was built 6 or 7 years ago, charges a $1200 monthly maintainence fee. That's another house payment.. and their occupancy is at around 60% right now (I wonder why?).

cosmo's just waiting for a few more presales, then it's a go. so if you're interested in a highrise condo, hurry up and buy so we can get this project started!

It was just a number thrown out by me when I was saying what I wanted at the Macy's spot.  There are no plans (that I know of) for anything 40 stories.

he's probably talking about turnberry. it's going to be next to the waterwall. they've actually decided to reduce it to 30 or so stories now. no final numbers yet, though. and even if there were, i wouldnt tell

I dought that there only building 3 restaurants and a Borders but then again its too small to built more stores. I was hopeing Macy's wouldn't become a residential building insted it should become stores that's the only thing that would help Galleria 3 because I dought a residential building would help........

i asked the pm about it, it's his project as far as mep, and that's what he told me. i trust he knows what he's talking about, but these things to change last minute.

Electrical designer? As in the designing the lighting fixtures within the building or more to do with the electrical system itself? If you're speciality will end up being high-rises, I predict you'll be busy for a long time as we've only begun to really scratch the surface. Uptown is going to be world-class and other mini-high-rise zones are being born with each passing year or two. The Hermann Park zone is particularly exciting.

both actually. but i'm still in training as far as designing the entire system. if i make a mistake on that part it's a pretty big deal, so they dont quite trust me with all that yet.

i do lighting, receptacles, telecom, security, fire alarms and hooking up all the mechanical and plumbing appliances to the electrical system that my boss designs.

oh, and if the secretary and the accountant are busy, they make me answer the phones because i'm the only other female in my office. i would be insulted, but it's really just like asking me to play on the internet and goof off, so i dont mind.

Well I believe it is planned for uptown.  I am not sure exactly where.

Also in the future could you not put your post inside the QUOTE tags.  It makes it seem like you didn't type anything.  That seems to happen alot on HAIF.  I wonder why it seems to only happen here.

well, i guess i can reveal that much. it's going to be right next to the waterwall actually. apparently it's on the last piece of land next to the galleria. next to the parking garage right over there. my coworker said there's a "frisbee field" there.

I'm new here and just thought I'd introduce myself and what not. My first name is Caroline and I'm a young electrical designer being trained to do highrise condominiums and apartments. I've been working my tail off on the Endeavour Condos they are building in Pasadena, and am starting on Turnberry by the Galleria today.

I am really interested and excited about all the new high rises and such all over Houston, so my main purpose on here is to keep up to date and read other peoples opinions about different developements around Houston.

I will offer as much information as I can dig out of the pm's in my office, but if I seem a little behind on my info, don't be too hard on me

One of my coworkers tried to tell me they were removing the waterwall. Was I right to tell him that was totally rediculous?

so far everything on turnberrty is very preliminary.. they are reducing it from 42 stories to 33 probably though. i just talked to my supervisor, and was instructed to not give too much information at this stage of developement. it's going to be really cool though!

(my dad made me change my name.. he doesnt want me using "his" last name on the internet talking about projects... )
