  1. Larry Thomas is a friend of mine! (Real Soup Nazi from Seinfeld) He's SO FUNNY in person and hilarious!!! Too bad I can't see more of him (he is in L.A. and often promoting himself for chairty work) But anyway sorry to change the subject on ya...kinda reminded me of that.
  2. I have been in contact with Chris (the New Age husband) he is a VERY cool guy! I got an astrology done by him (for a small fee) but its so detailed and accurate that I am STILL reading what he sent! The thing is the size of a small novel. Chris told me she wasn't that bad (alot of it was probably a put on for TV) About the Chron.com TV ad...seriously its much better then the Radio Shack where people sit in a chair and ask their spouses/loved ones to get a certain item. For a local Houston tv ad its VERY cute! I have been in contact with Chris (the New Age husband) he is a VERY cool guy! 3. The ad was hilarious!! One of the sayings before the commerical ended was a guy saying, "Rice is our Havard, not a side dish." More later (distracted to FOX, "Trading Spouses: Meet your new mommy"...its more interesting now because I have been contacting the guy who traded his wife for that wife who went crazy that the family she stayed with wasn't Christian!) Anyway talk later
  4. its how one uses the site I think. I have gotten in touch with long lost relatives and friends and classmates!!! I am not into the dating scene (never been me) or I'll wait till I leave Houston to get myself together to date. I am into it for the networking.
  5. I am currently trying to add all of you. you'll know its me when you see a cat in the profile
  6. speaking of myspace.com...weird thing happened today!! I got an "add a friend" to a friend who I haven't talked to in 5+ YEARS!! I could NOT believe how she FOUND ME!!!! That is so cool and AMAZING!!! OMG!! I am still in shock!!! ...and she's in HOUSTON!! (only .1% of my friends live in Houston!)
  7. He has a great voice and well I hope he goes far (even if he may or may not win American Idol!) he has ALOT Of potential!!
  8. Kirby I added you to my friends ... West Gray I got yours as well!
  9. Kirby I don't know how I am going to add you ..I tried but I needed an email or last name
  10. I was messanging on myspace.com and I found this interesting little site: http://www.traffic.com/Houston-Traffic/Hou...c-AllRoads.html Almost as good as transstar no?
  11. 27 years old and feeling older!
  12. I like it because it keeps my attention diverted on doing something creative and it keeps me in touch with friends and family (some I have lost touch with). I even saw old saw Alumni I went to high school with as well! (well I can keep in touch with them better then "Classmates.com" and can don't have to pay to email them or get in contact with them) Some pages are a bit busy...mine is busy I know but I want something to keep my attention away from my distractions/problems I am having outside the computer.
  13. I usually go to the Luby's by Myerland (that is the one with the short salad lady) Medical Center Luby's has the singer ..what a topic lol!! I think Fox and Hound is in the same place as a Sushi resturant (I can't pronounce) -sorry it's been a long day I can't spell right now LOL! I asked "Hot Topic" are you the next to go? (they said no and that Spencer's was closing nationwide) (weirdly enough my friend who lives in NJ said their Spencer's isn't closing. West Oaks to me is just a indoor walking track (mall) and a place to stay out of the rain. There is no amusement to do in West Oaks. No music store, no book store, no fun stores! I am waiting for Steve and Barry's...(OH I LOVE THAT PLACE!) to go next! Why does Royal oaks have so many senior living homes? Isn't there already on Richmond that was newly built? that's around Royal Oaks
  14. Here is what I think...this talk of Myspace.com and predators...well...those women asking for it chose to talk to people they didn't know. I accept friends I am in close contact with. I have been hit on myspace.com but I ignored the message and deleted it. I am not being choosy (well yes...I am LOL!) but hey this is a dangerous world we live in and we got to be careful. But I was just curious if anyone was on myspace. btw, I frequently talk to most of you on here so if you are on here I'd add y'all (if I knew you by screen name on here) but I don't get on Myspace.com to talk about sex and be flirty. I think I am on for the networking of Hollywood types (who some are actually on there...others are posers but like anywhere using ones best judgement) I even found some actor friends of mine on Myspace that I thought I lost contact with there is a good and bad to everything...its how one percieves it.
  15. That helps so much. I remember "old westheimer" and I know it changed its name but I could never remember the new name of the street. I was wondering what "Phoenicia" was! Well the coffee shop is GREAT!!! Some competition for Starbucks in the HEB shopping area! I also know there is a what looks to be apartments building coming up next to Royal Oaks inbetween the CompUSA parking lot and HEB parking lot. Dare we even ask how much their rent will be? (or fun lil' extras the apartment will have?) I do agree that Target needs to be bigger or move further down the block! (Super Target would be nice!) that store is so compact that even their pet supplies is a shame. I usually walk over to Petco (and don't care if they are a bit higher (Petco) because that Target offers NOTHING as far as cat toys go. Is that Luby's any good? I know the Medical Center Luby's has a singer that sings there. He's not too bad but the last time I was there, someone requested for the singer to turn his music down (it wasn't even loud!) Kinko's...after their prices..FORGET it! I have tried doing business with those people several times and I have gotten disapointed so I went down the street to Office Depot (on Wilcrest) -cheaper too!! You know where "Fox and Hound" is on Westheimer? That area needs to be re-done as well!! Its like "hotel liquation furniture" and that's all that's in that strip center. What'd I would like to see on this end is a small skate park somewhere. I don't skate but I am sure there are plenty of skaters (roller blade/skate boarder) on this side of town who'd love it! something fun to do...West Oaks has totally bombed out (now that Spencer's is gone!) -I will go to West Oaks for Alamo Drafthouse (after Tinseltown charges $6.25 for a movie..Alamo is DEF. cheaper!!) and more comfy! Memorial City I don't think I want to touch and after a while just shopping at malls is kinda boring. Sad to say, I'm scared of driving in this city and all the freeways confuse me. (sorry to go OT) -offtopic-
  16. couldn't they at least get a Texas native? Well I'll give the show a try! I wish they were hiring!!
  17. I drive by the sign that is next to "Raising Cane" what is coming up in that space? I saw cheese...something.... its right before you get to the (Old Richmond Road...now called Medical Center lane or something...)...okay before you hit Lowes/Walmart. (behind the building)... coming from Hwy 6 on Westheimer ...go toward the Beltway. Drive down Westheimer and when you see the the Raising Cane) (on the right) and "Phoenician" building...there is a sign that says,"COMING SOON!" right after "Double Daves" in the strip center...with pictures of something...what do the words say? sorry that's not much help.
  18. I found this place looking at pictures of Houston! (I am fascinated with how the city grows but I don't feel at home here in Houston)...long story won't go into! This is my hometown but in my heart (and when I get the money I hope to leave and go to California). But on the other hand this board has grown and I am happy to see the people out there reading us. HI PEOPLE!!!! *waving*!!!
  19. I told the Canadians as well.. Tim Hortons (our "Shipley's up there) is so recognizable I don't think Krispy Kreme would do well in Canada. (At first maybe because its new) I grew up on the Mrs. Bairds store and Shipleys (and Southern Maid donuts) btw, I like the Kolache Factory and I thought they'd blow Krispy Kreme out of the water with the "breakfast foods". I'd perfer kolaches (southern maid...MMMMMMMMMmmm) anytime! Sausage and Cheese kolaches!!! bye bye Krispy Kreme on Westheimer next to Whataburger! The Italian Fast food place (where Whataburger is now) didn't make it...and Krispy Kreme followed... and bye bye expensive KK in Randalls, Walmart, and other assorted locations! Not that I miss the place its just shocking to hear...everyone it seems is moving out of this city! Albertsons is gone...Krispy Kreme is now gone, I can't think of any others but there's quite a few of come and gone places.
  20. Middle of nowwhere.. Luling Texas its on www.imdb.com as well http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000373/ I remember him visiting Dallas for a Star Trek con and when I went I was like WOW how cool we got all the Texans here! Brent Spiner - DATA (went to high school at Bellaire here) Chase Masterson (Leeta from Deep Space Nine) went to UT here Michael Dorn - Worf (was born in Luling) That works!! thanks!
  21. the business I work for now used to deliever to Katz's (but I think only the Austin location) and we used to deliever pickles to Kenny & Ziggy's (before he went to someone else) but Kahns deli...I remember my dad's company doing business with that guy. He's REALLY nice! I only went to Katz's once (I live too far from there to frequently go) but the only thing that irratated my dad about the place was that the disabled had to take an elevator upstairs. My grandfather (before he passed away) was with a walker and we would have to through people to go around to going upstairs and its a big hassle. I have been to Kenny and ziggy's once as well. ALOT of food but good food!! I had the Blintze's at Katz's and at Kenny and Ziggy's. I vaguely remember "Gueggenheims"? (is that how you spell it?) I LOVE homemade Matzah ball soup!!! (and Gilfete fish) :9 okay I admit I love Passover Sedars! (sit through a reading, sit on comfy chairs and eat) isnt' that what jews do on EVERY Jewish Holiday? Passover -Sedar Hannukah -dinner Purim - candy High Holidays - apples and honey (and then you fast on one day and eat at sundown) I can't think of any others. Right now my dad was working on getting a Nathans hotdog here. But I think that fell through. I haven't heard him mention it lately.
