houstonmacbro Posted April 7, 2007 Share Posted April 7, 2007 A few weeks ago I was playing around on this site and I noticed that there is a section under my assistant that shows Top 10 posters. At that time I noticed Red Scare and MidtownCoog were neck n neck for the most posts. I have checked back periodically and it seems like they are racing each other (I am sure they are not consciencely, but the top post position changes back n forth often). Obviously I need to get a life since this actually interests me enough to post a new topic, but whatever. BTW, I am the Top Poster today. Whew Whew Whew. OK, Shoot me now. A couple of forums I belong to have actually disabled the post count because they claim it increases post abuse (basically people posting to see how much they can and to rack up their post tally). But I think it's only appropriate for small fora. Sure, people will post junk to move their rankings from 5 to 10 to 20, but who has the time to post 5,000 junk messages to get to the hurricane level? It's the software. That's true, but there are a couple on here which post BS replies that get on my nerves. Either way, it gets on my nerves for some reason. If you find that it's one particular user who gets on your nerves, don't forget the forum's "ignore user" feature. Or you could let a mod know.
