To each his own, but I can't comment since I've never had those sopapillas from Panchos. This is the only picture I could find of what they once called the chocolate banana at Ninfas, but it's different than I remember and it doesn't do it justice. It used to come with whip cream and vanilla ice cream and chocolate both melted inside the empanada w/ the banana and drizzled on top of the empanada.

Will Ninfa’s BLVD Place offer mole dishes?

I love me some Ninfa's! and...the Ciao Bella 1 1/2 blocks away (in the Randall's Plaza) from this new Ninfa's is being replaced by Los Tios! I will be surrounded by Mexican Food now! Yay me! (*Blanco's Tequila + Tacos in the Galleria Mall is awesome btw)

NOPE. It's south of the two HANOVER  buildings and is a deep but narrower lot.  One of those jenga block high rises would look great there and keep the views from the two Hanover buildings from being blocked. I'm not sure who owns the other vacant lot that is next to our park bench.  All in all, its been slow going with this development. Over a decade and three major blocks and two smaller development sites ( on the south and west of the Whole Foods c complex) still vacant.

Love the white marble covering the 2nd/3rd floors. Looks really posh in person, and is such a striking change from all the typical concrete podiums. This is how to hide a parking garage.

The parking garage is not part of the structure. The building goes all the way to the ground. That is Hanover's new office.

It is a precast parking garage that abuts the structure. Not part of the tower otherwise it would be cast in place, not precast.

The amenity thing is a relatively new addition to Houston.  Some of the newer apartments / the ones with really nice pools & cabanas charge them.  My wife and I (which live/ have lived in Houston high rises with and without the fees) call it the "cabana charge".  If you see cabanas... there's probably an amenity fee.

I predict another 20 building will go up in this area between 2020 and 2030, not sure how many went up this decade but there were a bunch

I have worked in this area since 2015 and have seen: BHP, Post Oak, Arabella, the ugly RD one (I forget the name), Amegy, Skyhouse, the one next to Skyhouse, the other one going up next to that, two Hanover towers, and I barely missed the BBVA building. Plus the 4400 Post Oak that just started.

Yet is still makes me wonder...why in the heck hasn't Post Oak Corner been snatched up for re-development yet!? Its the ENTRANCE to what they are coining as a Grand Blvd!!!

(bottom left of photo/empty lot and old abandoned bank building)

I keep wondering why Tillman just doesn't buy it and put something, ANYTHING there! haha!

Those low rise apartments catty-corner to that "block" cant be long for this world either.

A couple years ago Randall Davis was under contract to purchase that property but it fell through for some reason. I think there's a thread on it with renderings somewhere.

Today at lunch there looked to be upper management etc eating outside at Ninfa's.

All the windows are still covered with paper etc but i do believe that this means it will be open in the next couple of weeks!

Was at Whole Foods today at lunch and Ninfa's took down all the paper covering the windows and looks awesome! They have signs up saying there is a job fair today so opening by end of month if not sooner is my guess!

Went to Ninfa's at 5pm last night! They have a Happy Hour Menu from 3pm to 6pm that includes about 10 appetizers and some drinks.

Their chips with salsa and green dip were just as good as always and I went ahead and just ordered off the regular menu...beautiful large bar area and plenty of seating indoors and out as you can see from previous photos.

The place was busy but not jam packed so it was perfect and we got a seat at the bar no problem at all...and there didn't seem to be a wait for a table when we left at 630pm although all tables seemed filled.

Super smooth opening in my opinion!
