About those Metro proposals along Richmond in Montrose

There was a Metro community meeting on this last week.

That center median with cutouts to allow pedestrians and bicycles to cross  but not cars that was talked about for intersection of Stanford and Westheimer in Lower Westheimer improvements.....

I guess, if I heard it right- that configuration will be used on all  intersections along Richmond in Montrose that don't have traffic lights for the new Metro system.

is that right?

I've included a picture of a similar set up on Alabama in third ward.

There are still a lot of hoops to jump through for federal funding etc. Montrose is in #4 of four sections- surely section one will come first .... best guess ....several years.

The plan is to do all sections at the same time.  Sadly, however, I think your best guess of construction being several years away is pretty accurate.
