Storage unit going up across the street. It’s been a set of “urban loft home” and Nippon Sushi, which is still very much in business. mkultra25
This was the former location of Nielsen's Delicatessen in the early 80s, before they relocated to the current location on Richmond. I don't recall if anything else occupied it after Nielsen's before Kam's opened.

I believe they have some old photos displayed at the current location, but I don't remember seeing any of the Montrose location there (the original location predated the one on Montrose, and for a while they actually had multiple locations in Houston). IntheKnowHouston
4500 Montrose Blvd is an 0.33 acre parcel near Woodrow St. There are two structures on the lot: an office building and apartments in the back. 4500 Montrose is situated between Urban Loft Townhomes (4512-4518 Montrose Blvd) and Japanese restaurant Nippon (4464 Montrose Blvd) Map of 4500 Montrose Blvd Google Earth View from January 2022 Edited January 18 by IntheKnowHouston

The bar & grill made its debut in the Washington Corridor last year at 2101 Washington Avenue. It's a food and beverage concept from local hospitality group Treadsack (or the group formerly known as Treadsack... I'm not certain if the name is still in use). HoustonBoy
I know they probably won’t but I hope the restaurant is saved and incorporated to whatever goes up. Such a nice slice of urban infrastructure.

clutchcity94
If it’s open as late as their Washington Ave location (2am), this will be popular with the Grand Prize crowd. Edited January 19 by clutchcity94
