hindesky
In its December board meeting, the Houston Housing Authority cast its first round of two votes necessary to approve an apartment complex in Independence Heights, a neighborhood north of the Loop that was originally the state’s first municipality to be incorporated by African Americans. At the December meeting, LaRence Snowden, chair of the board, said that the development at the site would be an extension of Independence Heights I. He said it will consist of 260 units with varying levels of affordability. It is unclear when the final vote to approve the deal will take place. https://www.houstonchronicle.com/news/houston-texas/housing/article/independence-heights-housing-authority-environment-18626324.php
