hindesky
Currently Brown Bag Deli and a T Mobile. I believe it was a Firestone Tires before, I shipped some tires there from Tire Rack for them to install.

It was like having ham and cheese on a slice of cake.
brucesw
I believe in the early 70s there was a Lack's or Western Auto in there - not sure of the exact address, tho. That's the only BBD I ever went to. Never went back - just so so sandwiches. When you had Nielsen's just off Westheimer, Alfred's in the Village, Antone's on Taft, the Louisiana po-boy place on Main - just didn't need so-so.

Their cheeseburgers were truly world-class.

Amlaham
It looks like they're extending the building further away from the street lol, hopefully the landscape will make up for it!
Texasota
If those cowards at the Planning department had made the 82 a transit corridor this wouldn't be a problem.

It's a long, narrow lot that really faces Huldy, which appears to be how they are orienting the new build. The T-Mobile appears to be staying and is right next to Westheimer. The rest is, if anything, set back from Huldy, not Westheimer. Was there some expectation that they would only build on the narrow end of the lot next to Westheimer? Texasota
You're right; the existence of the T-Mobile and its entrance facing the inside of the lot means there had to be a significant setback. I just like calling out the cowards at the planning department for not making the 82 a transit corridor at every opportunity I can find.

j_cuevas713
Centerpoint needs to go out and fix those damn cables hanging all over the place. It looks dangerous as hell for any pedestrian walking by.
