My bad, I found 2 articles that said 1801 and thought it strange when I looked up the address and found where Superica is. Eater is showing the address @IntheKnowHouston mentioned as 1808. A Hattie B’s location is slated to open at 1808 N. Shepherd Drive in 2023. The company is building from the ground up, enlisting Michael Hsu Office of Architecture to design a 3,800-square-foot restaurant with seating for 175. There will be outdoor space too, including a patio and lawn area. https://houston.eater.com/2021/12/15/22837527/hattie-b-opening-heights-houston

The restaurant is designed by Michael Hsu Office of Architecture. Hattie B's Hot Chicken restaurant is under construction at 1808 N Shepherd Dr. The rendering is located on Virgata Property's website. https://www.virgataproperty.com/portfolio/pscdpkzdowt0v4ck6uf59rya4xqh2w-63w7j-byzjs-der2z Edited October 14, 2022 by IntheKnowHouston
IntheKnowHouston
Any updates? Is the 1808 N Shepherd Dr property for lease again? A lease listing for 1808 N Shepherd Dr appears on Virgata Properties' website. Also, a listing on Crexi was recently updated. The leasing materials are dated January 5, 2023, at least that's the date shown when downloaded. It's possible this could be an old lease listing. I don't know. Is Hattie B's no longer moving forward here? https://www.virgataproperty.com/for-lease-1 Edited January 17 by IntheKnowHouston

So, hot chicken restaurant Hattie B's will not go up here.

Well, there's Daddy's Chicken Shack at 1223 W 11th St (on the corner of N Shepherd Dr). And coming soon is the Crack Shack. That will be located at 1541 N Shepherd Dr, Suite 100 in the Market at Houston Heights development.

Daddy’s Chicken will likely not last since the 11th street bikeway changes. Management says it’s a dead zone from 4-7 p.m. https://www.khou.com/article/news/local/heights-11th-street-project/285-0943daf0-ceb5-4752-b5ee-bf415ca88dc2

Texasota
yeah if they close the bikeway is a convenient scapegoat.

NADROJ
we famous now? https://houston.culturemap.com/news/restaurants-bars/hattie-bs-nashville-hot-chicken-heights-location-canceled-1-2023/ Quote Looks like Houstonians will have to wait a little longer than expected to try one of the most famous suppliers of Nashville hot chicken. Hattie B’s has canceled its plans to open a location in the Heights, a representative tells CultureMap. The representative cited “construction costs for the ground-up build and other issues with this particular site” as reasons for the decision not to move forward. An eagle-eyed user on the Houston Architecture Info forum spotted a leasing notice for the property at 1808 N. Shepherd Dr. that had been scheduled for Hattie B’s. 1
