OkieEric
I know there has been a lot of vacant land in this area up until recently, but the neighboring single story storage facilities seem like such a massive waste of real estate. Discount mini storage (9419 Buffalo Speedway) alone has about 5 acres of land. Unfortunately, this stretch of South Main is littered with them
Highrise Tower
Noticed this listing on Loopnet this week. This is the property next to Tradition Buffalo Speedway. Currently, A Discount Mini Storage sits here. https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/9419-S-Buffalo-Speedway-Houston-TX/16180338/

Highrise Tower
The Loopnet listing was taken down! I assume the Loopnet order of procedures is to list the property as "Under Contract" and then when it's finally sold and changed hands you get a yellow header saying "This Land Property is no longer advertised on LoopNet.com." Hot location! South Main & Buffalo Speedway. Nearly 5 acres as well. Any predictions on the forthcoming development? I would, naturally, assume a 5-story multifamily wrap. An Alexan, Fairfield, Alta, Haven, Broadstone, Modera, Co-Op, etc. We haven't seen any Gables Residential multifamily projects lately. It would be nice to see another one. Maybe a "Gables Medical Center."
Highrise Tower
A plan review permit has been pulled for a remodel of the Discount Mini Storage, now called CubeSmart. Looks like it was just a change of self storage ownership. No further development here. I give it a decade before it's repurposed to multifamily.
