Former CBS 11 KHOU-TV Houston reporter John "Rucks" Russell has passed away at the age of 55 yesterday. Russell's former colleague, former CBS 11 KHOU-TV Houston reporter & political analyst Doug Miller received the news from Russell's wife. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) in Washington, DC; he then became the Senior Media & Communications Specialist HHS Office of Minority Health & also last worked as Chief of Staff/Communications Director for Houston City Council. Prior to KHOU-TV, Russell worked for WNCN-TV Raleigh, NC., WRIC-TV Central Virginia as well as stops in Washington, DC., Orlando, FL & Roanoke, VA.
