The Heights Hospital At 1917 Ashland St.

What's the deal with the construction barrier along the back of Heights Hospital along the 400 block of W 20th street? There has been no activity for at least four months and the street is reduced by cordoning off the East bound lane behind the Hospital.

They first went up when the brick facing on the upper floors blew down during Ike. Not sure what the delay is in getting rid of them.

I just used the City of Houston Service Center web site to report this. I asked them to have the barriers removed. We'll see if anything happens any time soon.

Pretty tone deaf to exercise a lockout remedy on a hospital during a pandemic.  But I also do not understand why the hospital didn't go into bankruptcy to get a stay (haven't checked PACER, though).  I am hearing that the owners are allowing some access to the building, but it does not look good for the hospital.
