Highrise Tower
Watched an online interview with Tushar Gupta & Sid Sanders regarding the Houston Methodist Walter Tower design. In the presentation Sid mentioned the life span of their buildings and future planning. In the future, Houston Methodist would like to demolish their old, 1950's hospital referred to as Main Building. Once Phase III of the North Campus is complete, this will be on the horizon. Planned to be a a Research Hospital, to pair with their other Research Institute. Shown in purple on the right side.

Highrise Tower
It's been a while since that presentation with Tushar Gupta & Sid Sanders. Has there been any movement with the demolition of the HMH Main Building? Differing the Main Building is a little hard. The HMHs there on Fannin Street are all tightly packed together. Looking on Satellite gives you a better view of all the Houston Methodist hospitals. For reference: The two hospitals are so close that you couldn't tell them apart at street level. Thankfully Google Maps can identify both hospitals apart. The old, 1950, hospital is on the right. Another look. 3 hospitals back to back. The density of the TMC is wild! Highrise Tower
The Main Building was the very first (TMC) Methodist Hospital. I did not put that together, the name totally makes sense now. Sort of like Anderson's Main Building. *Note, this may be confusing to locate because the front of the building is covered up by the Houston Methodist Dunn Tower. The building is hidden to the naked eye. Old photo I found.
