77011transplant
Flores Neighborhood Library has been closed ever since Harvey, and I can't find any information about when or if it is set to reopen. The most recent news I've seen about it was from two years ago saying that they received a grant for renovations: https://www.houstonchronicle.com/news/houston-texas/houston/article/Flores-library-gets-United-Arab-Emirates-grant-13581740.php I've emailed HPL a couple of times to see what the status is, but I haven't heard back. I know they have a lot going on with COVID, so I'm not surprised, but it would be great to hear the status of this since it is our closest library. Sometimes when we drive/ walk past we'll see cars in the lots and I believe there's a trash container outside, so I'm not sure if there's work being done? 77011transplant
An update: HPL hosted their grand reopening (virtually) TODAY! Yay! On their Facebook page from today (1/12/21), you can see the event recording including a virtual tour (can't seem to directly link to the event): https://www.facebook.com/houstonlibrary/
