5.3 Acre church campus near downtown Houston will be converted to a 290 Unit Workforce Housing development in Partnership with the Houston Housing Authority.  The original stone sanctuary was built in 1947.

Goodness, the interest rate on the loan for what I’m guessing is the purchase of this property is an eye watering 11.99%:

Edit: I think financing a purchase with a hard money loan does not bode well for this development. This company (Deccan Development) already lost the land for the Chelsea to foreclosure back in 2021, even though they still list the project on their website.

Some info I found about the architect of the original church, I don't see it mentioned here but he seemed to specialize in churches.

This Plat sign was across the street in a big empty concrete lot. I wonder if the church will move here if the MOD Project goes thru.
