JJVilla
I'm frankly surprised that this thread has gone to 37 pages, considering soccer is for Eurotrash, Latino men who are far less macho than they think, and gay guys. Did you think of this when sippin your martinis? Come to section 213/214 sometime. Somos El Batallon!
Mr. Chenevert
Lol and look at the METRO train just sitting on the grass on the left in the first rendering. Light rail on grass is not a new idea. Its been done in many cities. The trolleys in New Orleans mostly run on a grassy median. They dont HAVE to be embedded in a street. Ducky
Check out this article on Houston Press. It says "This just gives fans an idea what it might look like." http://blogs.houstonpress.com/hairballs/20...amo_stadium.phpWhere could I find info on where they're exactly going to run the new light rail? ricco67
Light rail on grass is not a new idea. Its been done in many cities. Many people ride the rail on grass, but they smoke it before they board. No smoking ordinance, remember? newtex
I think this is the most recent plan for the light rail in the area.Metro Southeast Corridor
LTAWACS
It does not show the rest of the east corridor.
Houston19514
It does not show the rest of the east corridor. That's because it's a map of the Southeast Corridor. If you want to see the whole East Corridor, look at a map of the East Corridor.

Urbannizer
New Dynamo stadium is nearly a done deal From Khou... HOUSTON -- The Houston Dynamo are finally going to get their new stadium. They cleared the final hurdle this week by getting funding from a Spanish bank based in Madrid. The Dynamo is paying about $60 million toward the cost of the stadium. The City of Houston and Harris County will pick up the rest of the tab. The stadium will be built across Highway 59 from Minute Maid Park where the Houston Astros play. It will seat 21,000 fans and will have around 35 suites. The Dynamo say they hope to keep the average ticket price under $20. Construction will begin in the fall and is expected to take about 18 months. The Dynamo plan to play their season opener at the new stadium in 2011. http://www.khou.com/topstories/stories/kho...m.694b5ecd.html Edited March 25, 2009 by UpuPUp!
