Swamplot reports the building at 3119 White Oak Dr has been leased and is being developed into a bagel shop, Golden Bagels & Coffee.It may not look like a hole lot is going on in there in this photo taken a few months ago, but the 2,492-sq.-ft. 1940-vintage retail building at the southeast corner of White Oak Dr. and Oxford St. in the Heights — a crooked saunter across the street from Onion Creek Coffee House and a lot and a street down from the Heights hike-and-bike trail (and this) — will be filled with bagels this summer, promises its new proprietor. One of the restaurants is a sushi omakase named Kinokawa. The restaurant is chef Billy Kin's casual izakaya concept. It opens to the public December 28. Initially going by the name Tesseract, the restaurant was announced in 2021. It's located at 3119 White Oak Dr. 5Tesseract is adjacent to Kin's omakase concept 5Kinokawa. From Houston Chronicle: 5Tesseract, at 3119 White Oak in the same building as 5Kinokawa, is Kin’s take on an izakaya, a Japanese bar where customers snack on small dishes and drink after work or deep into the night. Unlike 5Kinokawa, which seems almost hidden despite its location on a busy stretch of White Oak, the bar is filled with natural light.
