CrockpotandGravel
The lot at 3511 Houston Ave, the site of R & R Jewelry & Loan pawn shop, was sold in August. The sale also included the 5,584 SF land next to it at 3507 Houston Ave. Houston Chronicle included the sale from a press release in last week's real estate transactions roundup. The blurb also includes possible plans for the properties. Fred and Soody Sharifi Family Partnership purchased a 6,946-square-foot building on a 12,894-square-foot lot at 3507 and 3511 Houston Ave., just off Interstate 45 in the Heights, for a future redevelopment. Outfront Media and Doylitas Management, the sellers, were represented by Ryan Neyland of Davis Commercial.https://www.houstonchronicle.com/business/texas-inc/article/Real-estate-transactions-Songy-Highroads-makes-14556830.php 1

I just hope whatever the Sharifis ( SFT Investments ) have planned for this property happens. I'm still bummed about the Fairview District. CrockpotandGravel
11 hours ago, rental me this said: I just hope they ditch the billboard. I'm not familiar with standard terms communication companies agree upon for the placement of their billboards. But I'm assuming, the Sharifis ( likely under SFT Investments ) will use the small lot with the billboard if and when redevelopment of both properties take place. mkultra25
Ran across this photo of the building's longtime former tenant, Yamaha dealer House of Wheels. This would probably have been taken in 1982-83, judging from the ad in the window. Note the old-style McDonald's roof barely visible on the far right.
