There will also be two more concepts here. From Houston Chronicle today: The Halal Guys dining formula continues to resonate in Houston. Franchisee Masroor Fatany, who already operates three Halal guys restaurants in Houston, has announced a fourth location set to open in the Garden Oaks neighborhood in the fall. Fatany will set up his new shop for chicken, beef gyro and falafel sandwiches and platters at 3008 Ella Blvd., a space once occupied by an EZ Pawn store. Construction should begin soon for the new Halal Guys restaurant, with seating for 30, and dedicated parking for pickup for online orders. The space is also being built out to house two other fast-casual food businesses at the same address; those concepts have not yet been determined.https://www.houstonchronicle.com/entertainment/restaurants-bars/article/The-Halal-Guys-to-open-new-location-in-Garden-14078721.php

BigRed
Whoa whoa whoa - all fried chicken is supposed to be on Shepherd/Durham. WHO ALLOWED THIS WITH CITY PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT?!

WHO ALLOWED THIS WITH CITY PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT?! While Houston has no zoning, the Chicken Districting is very specific. Shep/Durhan is a chicken sandwich district. Ella is a chicken finger district. This is why Layne's is going in across the street from Raising Cane's.

goofy
Wish I could care! I live near and love to see new things going in, but fried food is the new cigarettes and we have too much bottom of the barrel stuff. i propose a moratorium on chicken fingers and vape shops!
